A few weeks ago, I was talking to a former Marine at the local laundry mat. We were talking about current affairs, when out of nowhere, he says, "I think we should do like Isreal and make kids spend two years in the military." I told him, "Once you start coercing people into the military, you're no longer a free people." He said. "We aren't free now."
I said, "Bingo!".
I am a freedom advocate. If you know me in real life, you know that. It is pretty black and white; One is either free or governed. You cannot be both. People should be free.
As a veteran myself, I understand patriotism; How it colors our view of the state. After all, we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Right? Yet, "citizens" require a license for almost anything important. Want to open a business; you'll need a business license. Want to hunt for food? You'll need a hunting license. Want to marry your sweetheart? You'll need a marriage license. When a person applies for a state license, they are asking permission from the state. Free people do not have to ask for permission to do what is within their right.
I remember someone telling me, "Driving is not a right. It is a privilege. That is why you need a license." Following that logic, anything that requires a license is a privilege. So while you have a right to bear arms, it is a privilege to be a gun owner. Are you confused yet?
A privilege is a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group. But Americans are free. Right? Free people do not require special rights or immunity. They have inalienable, immutable, and absolute rights, which they are free to exercise as they desire. No license is required. Only slaves beg for greater liberties from their masters; This is what is happening when a person applies for a license.
Anywho, I am a freedom advocate. That is what I intend to do with this blog. Unfortunately, the first problem is that people do not recognize their enslavement. Only when we see the cage that we can escape from it. I intend to help you do just that. See the cage.
